This is a historical collection of images and words from the hallowed pages of Surfer Magazine describing the culture of surfing seen through their editors over 40 years. The older you are the more you will relate to this publication as you remember pics and articles from your dim dark past. It made me feel old but good in the knowledge that surfing had come so far. Memories flooded back of reading surfer mags as a grommet and looking at those travel stories. If you are a collector of relevant journals on surfing in the USA, this collection of stories articles and pics would have to be a definite one to have in your surf library. A little light on content from the year 2000 on with just the one Kelly Slater pic defining surfing in the new millenium. This soft covered large format glossy beast offers hours of reading between surfs. If you can't read just look at the pictures
