Grace Chan's Every Version of You, is a story about virtual reality, identity, love, migration, change, and what it means to be human. Never Let Me Go meets Black Mirror, with a dash of Murakami surrealism thrown in, this is speculative literary fiction at its best. Grace is is an Aurealis and Norma K Hemming Award-nominated speculative fiction writer.Else Fitzgerald's, Everything Feels Like the End of the World, is a collection of short speculative fiction exploring possible futures from an Australia not so different from our present day to one thousands of years into an unrecognisable future, with each story examining what it means to be human: grief, loss, pain and love. Else has won the Richell Prize for Emerging Writers.
This evening is for the champions of emerging talents, the curious reader looking for freshly minted stories and effervescence in their souls.
